Advanced Micro Devices (AMD)
Strategic Partnership with OpenAI.
We wrote our first article on Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) on 23rd June 2023. The report, which can be found here, is good background on the company. It was subtitled “Ready for the AI opportunity?”
We have not looked at AMD since then, as we viewed Nvidia a better option in the chip sector. In the last two years, Nvidia has increased 10X while AMD has doubled.
Last Thursday, the stock rose nearly 30% after the announcement of a strategic partnership between AMD and OpenAI.
We will look again at the company in the light of this announcement.
