The US quarterly results season has started two weeks ago. It covers the three months to June 30th 2024.

The large banks are among the first to start reporting the quarterly numbers.

The reporting usually starts with JP Morgan, Citibank and Bank of America. They are followed by Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley and others

We have not looked at financial entities in this Substack. This reporting season we will look at JP Morgan (JPM) and Morgan Stanley (MS) and in the next quarter, we will add Bank of America and Goldman Sachs.

JP Morgan Chase (JPM)

JP Morgan is one of the largest (Market cap $607bn), most profitable and successful banks in the world. It combines a giant on-balance sheet bank with a large investment bank and well as extensive fee-earning Private Banking and Asset Management business.
